Beth has been studying and practicing Holistic Health for over 25 years. She graduated from the Alpha School of Massage of the Treasure Coast in Port St. Lucie, Fl in 1996. Beth studied herbalism under Michael and Leslie Tierra and is a graduate of the East West School of Herbology. She is trained to look at the patterns of dis-ease the person is presenting and identify the root causes behind underlying conditions. By considering the energetics of the person’s constitution & imbalances, Beth applies personalized herbal formulas using herbs from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda (from India) and/or Western Herbalism. Beth also makes custom formulas by hand and offers lifestyle and diet recommendations as part of herbal consultations.
Morning Sun Wellness LLC is the culmination of Beth’s extensive training, decades of experience, variety of healing gifts and modalities, passion for health and wellness and dedication to helping people. Her training at East West Herb School also included bodywork therapies such as Cupping, Gua Sha and Auricular Therapy (Ear Seeding). In addition, Beth has studied and mentored with herbalist, Matthew Alfs, author, teacher, and owner of The Midwest School of Herbal Studies located in Minnesota. She also studied herbalism with ethnobotanist, Linda Black Elk, at Sitting Bull College on the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation in North Dakota.
Along with herbalism, Beth practices many styles of bodywork. She is a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, practicing the Vodder technique taught by Elisa Difalco, founder of MLD Institute International. Additionally, Beth is certified in Ayurvedic bodywork and lifestyle practices through Dr. Shivani Sood of the Shivani Ayurvedic Clinic in Dharmsala, India, where she was trained in Abhyanga massage using Doshic (constitutional) specific oils, Marma (Vital Points) Therapy, and Pranic Healing energy work, as well as Ayurvedic diet, herbalism and cleansing. Beth also completed the 6 levels of Nuad Bo, Tradition Massage of Thailand and Reflexology (rooted in Ayurveda) at the ITM school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Beth studied the physical and spiritual aspects of Traditional Hawaiian Lomilomi massage on the Big Island of Hawaii under renowned healer Harry Uhane Jim. She has been a certified Yoga instructor since 1997 through the Sivananda Vedanta Ashram in the Bahamas.
