About
Beth White Mountain
Licensed Massage Therapist & Certified Herbalist
As a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1996, Beth has traveled the globe building an exceptional bodywork practice. She trained in Ayurvedic massage in Dharmsala, India; completed six levels of Traditional Thai Massage and Reflexology in Chiang Mai; studied Lomilomi under renowned Hawaiian healer Harry Uhane Jim; and holds certifications in CranioSacral Therapy (Upledger Institute), Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder technique), and Reiki (Usui Lineage). She is also a certified Yoga instructor trained at the Sivananda Vedanta Ashram. Beth additionally offers home visits to Assisted Living facilities throughout the Stuart area.
Beth has been rooted in the natural world her entire life — wildcrafting, growing, and working with medicinal plants for over three decades. This deep relationship with the land forms the foundation of her herbal practice. She graduated from Michael Tierra's East West School of Planetary Herbology in 2019, and draws from the traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Western herbalism to create personalized formulas that address the root causes behind a person's imbalances, not just their symptoms. She makes custom herbal preparations by hand and teaches the art of herbalism through regular community classes.
Her knowledge of plant medicine deepened during the twelve years she lived on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where she learned traditional herbal wisdom from Lakota elders, Marie Brown, George Iron Shield and Sam Moves Camp. During that time she worked with Indian Health Service's tribal health department offering massage therapy and co-founded the Standing Rock Medicine Wheel Living Park — a community fruit tree orchard and medicinal gardens in Bear Soldier/McLaughlin, SD.
